Who Needs Iraq?

Or Saudi Arabia? We've got a new, cheap source of oil: turkey guts!

Not to mention Ethanol, Methanol, Hydrogen and Electric Hybrid cars. Lets get off our asses and change the way we use energy. Oil will not be around forever. Another hundred years max if that long.

The offal-derived oil, is chemically almost identical to a number two fuel oil used to heat homes.
Yeehaa! I knew there was a good reason we decided to go with oil heat in our new home. (well besides the fact that that's what Fingers wanted and I didn't want to argue, I've argued too much already )
Does this mean my fuel costs will go down in the winter?

Hard to spend $$$ on alternative energy sources when you are dropping $80B here and there to liberate people.

Other than that... this seems quite promising as a means of oil supply.

Gobble, gobble!

Hey, I'm eating all this turkey so as to do my patriotic duty to ensure renewable sources of energy!

Now pass the gravy.

I read that in my issue last month. Pretty promising stuff. You can dump anything organic in that machine. That's crazy. Chemistry is fun!

Heh, when I die I want to be put in one of those. Talk about immediate returns...

Whir, you are just such a giver. Giving, giving, never taking.

Thinking about how to warm people even after you've died.

*snif*

Great idea as far as thinking "outside the box"!

Instead of trying to remove the water first, they added water to help transfer heat & pressure to the ...errr...guts

Just goes to show that conventional contenporary thinking is not the destination in progress, but only a waystop.

Every process is less than 100% efficient & therefore can be improved. These guys made a great improvement!

Three cheers for science & engineering (and take that! all you treehuggers that still equate scientists with Frankinsteinian disasters!)

Cadd.
