It'll probably be hot. Shorts, golf shirts etc are okay.

This time of year is starting the thunderstorm season here in N. Texas as well, so be prepared for that. We just had some whoppers come thru here last weekend that caused several million dollars damage from hail/high winds/etc..

If you are going to the Mesquite rodeo, it will likely be fun.
If you are planning to go to Billy Bobs in Fort Worth (about 10 miles up the road form me) they have an indoor rodeo arena in the club, plus the mechanical bull for all the drunk locals and tourists to ride.

Oh yeah, don't wear your boots with your shorts on..

Forget the cowboy hat. How about my pimp hat?

OK, my hat is a bad example, but shorts and polo shirts would be HIGHLY recommended. We are already hitting the low 90's in FL, hate to be Texas right now!

If the subject comes up avoid talking about the war or the Dixie Chicks.

Cool, have fun! I've been through Texas a good number of times, though I never lived there or actually spent much time there besides on the road. Texas takes a LONG time to drive across.

I think i am going to the Mesquite rodeo.

Wasn't planning to wear cowboy hats, or boots.

So your saying that the 75% of the time I'm there my suit is going to get hot. (I need to be in professional dress during meetings and competetions).

yes - hot - but - it's the kinda town where air-conditioning rules - so as long as you're indoors - you'll be just fine.
