I did mine Friday. I owe $1750. Nothing like that to get your blood-pressure up. I didn't believe the results so I had H&R Block verify them, and that cost me another $250.

I'd love to go to a flat tax. 15% off the top for everyone. It'd be so much easier.

I did ours in February. Unfortunately, my wife has gotten into the habit of spending our tax return by the end of January, so I'm under some pressure to get it done to pay off the credit card bill.

Still better than owing, though.

I never do my taxes myself anymore. As I gain more assets and more expenses, I can't keep up with the IRS's stupid ways. This tax system is so crappy it's unreal.

I'm not a stupid person, at least I like to think I'm not

, but after spending 8 hours one year trying to make heads or tails of many discrepancies in the tax code "rules" I finally gave up. It just wasn't worth the headache. I'd rather pay someone 100 to 200 dollars to do them for me.

The last time I "tried" to do my own, I probably took 10 years off my life because I got so mad. No more..........not ever... no way
