Guys/Gals...We all need to take a "CHILL PILL"

I for one am impressed with the way the Mods have tried to reign in some of the more off the planet comments that have been made by both the left and the right in some of the threads. I sure as hell would not want their job.

Let us liken this to a baseball game. The Mods are the umpires and if they call it a ball or strike, that's it. You can't argue balls and strikes in baseball and if you do, you get thrown out. When you get thrown out in baseball, you go take your shower and come back to play the next day.

The rules are the rules and when someone gets warned time and again and still push it even further, it's shower time.

Let's not get "SysOPTed" here!!!! It's not worth it! We will all surely suffer form the infighting.

This is a vote for the Mods having to do their jobs.

I don't honestly see that Gomer. I'm as "right" leaning as you can get. I did, however, stick up for Shahani and still do. But, in the end, once you are told what any further violations will result in, you have to make the choice of "In Your Face" or "Taking A Step Back" and cooling off. I have seen it both ways and have myself gotten a reprimand for an out of line post.

ive also noticed a recent upheaval of tempers and emotions here in the forum, and i suppose it could be related to the time of year. Spring seems to bring forth different emotions than any other season, not be trying to slough off a quick answer to obvious conflicts here.

I guess the only thing we can do is just try to talk through these things like the recent banning of members, and noted "mistakes" that in my opinion have happened. Im proud to know that the mods are not actively jumping into these threads to "stomp down the rebellion" but rather see where they go, and stop them from going archaic.

Id say this should be expected, and it is good that it is happening, because this shows that this forum is certainly "alive" and full of material to keep people enthused about coming here. I look forward to responses here, to have finally met some thousands of people that can enjoy the same things that i do, like others have said, lets not burn down the ship while we're still sailing.

This remains a private enterprise, with rules of conduct to be determined by the owner. If you can't handle that, there is NO option for you to change it. Just like laws where you live.

Sure, you can write to ScottW and discuss issues you may see, but in the end it's HIS opinion that will run the show.

Mods work FOR ScottW in "policing" (don't like that term, but that's what it has come to lately) forum policy.

Those who continue to defy requests to desist in certain lines of discussion will be banned. That is what is currently happening to a few who feel they know better.

A chill pill is a good idea, folks. A respect pill would be even better.

Let's respect ScottW's right to have the forum run the way he wishes. And let us agree to follow those simple, respectful, rules of conduct whilst here.

And let's give the mods the credence they deserve. If we think or discover there has been an error of judgment by the mods, or an inappropriate action, then we should discuss the issue with the miod, and if we aren't satisfied with the outcome, discuss it with ScottW.

But let's not question every little thing the mods do: that way lies madness, ppl.
