IMO-
procrastination is realizing that your long-term goals can be put off indefinately.
short-term goals often appear to be too selfish in pursuit, therefore excuses to avoid such activity will often appear obvious and logical.
thus, it is prudent for the individual to pursue short-lived happiness and "intelligent idleness" in lieu of strenuous, backbreaking tasks.

I am a firm believer that "damage control" is the same as "working under pressure" and that strict consequences (that Matter to the individual in question) must be in place for ANY work to be completed.

On May 18, 2003 I [hope] to graduate college. I have a tremendous amount of work to complete, but if you review my opinions (above) you may start to wonder what my motivation for procrastination is.

I really dug down deep for that last post. that's so honest, that I even e-mailed one of my professors at my college to show him how bad I have it, haha. not that my post will help my grade...I have to do that on my own.

and brainchild, you're right. if there is no motivation, procrastination is next on the list. I was poking fun at my apparent drive to procrastinate, which is ironic.

**I want to edit this post soo badly, but I feel I have to keep it here. I know that in the future, maybe years from now I'll change it, but for now, I'll leave it as a testament (to myself) to stop drinking caffinated sodas! sorry all if I ramble on about nothing. I'll return to the "normal" threads such as oc'ing, hardware, troubleshooting, general. sometimes a digression is good, but it may be time to re-focus myself at these forums, lol. ~Branson
