Here I Am!

Man, this has to have been the worst 5 days of my life! Southern Michigan got hit with a major ice storm, followed by 4 to 6 inches of snow.
Friday afternoon, we noticed a power spike, while playing around on our computers, so we decided to go rent some videos, and give the computers a break. We got the videos, some fast food, and did a bit of run around, and when we finally returned to our house, we discovered that we had no power at all! It wasn't until Tuesday afternoon before we finally got the power back.

No computer, no cable tv, and a freezer full of meat. We lost over half the meat, but we survived.

This Pic is from Cranbrook Institute, Which has an Art Museum, and also a Science Museum as well. It shows how much damage this storm caused.

Hmm, we got the same ice/sleet storm, but followed by a good foot or so of snow. No damage like power outages though.
Storm came through in September though and left us w/out power for almost two days, so I feel your pain.

Cant you just put the meat outside in a cooler? Sorry, I'm a 80-degree California guy.

If its freezing outside (or was it like 30F?!) it may have been cold enough outside.. just have to watch for the critters outside

Looks a bit like what happened here in January 1998.
