seeing how things are going today, i think we need a new form of government.
democracy means well, but it just doesnt work in the end. if everyone is trying to be equal and they are always making a law against this and a law against that, eventually there will be so much restriction that it will no longer be a free country. if you try to protect EVERYONE then you end up hurting EVERYONE in one way or another.
i think we should stay like we were roughly 50 years ago. there was crime, but everyone was also a lot free-er than they are now. and im not sure but i will bet that there was not as much crime as there is now. crime is defined as breaking the law. if there are so many laws then crime is sure to increase. i believe that we should lessen our dependance on "the system" and start using our heads. granted this would be abused sometimes but i think it would be better in the long run.
example: instead of someone doing something which is seen as illegal when, like in many cases, they do not deserve to be punished for a variety of reasons but are locked up anyway or sued, we should just use common sense with the situation and not depend on something written on paper to judge them by.
if this makes no sense then i dont blame you. i know its not perfect, but its just some thoughts ive been having. anyone care to add to this?
