I'm not sure whether to be scared by the tactic, or impressed by his ingenuity...

personally, i object to his method of evanglism. Christ never intended for water to be used to coax people closer to Him. sometimes i wonder if some Christians read the same Bible I do

HeeeHeeeHee....
I'm a Southern Baptist myself. I was "dunked" in Phoenix Ariz. one day when it was in the hundreds. Felt pretty good too.
A bath in the desert is where you find it.
Anyhow, there's two big rivers in Iraq. I imagine those boys will all be gettin' a bath soon.

Ah yes, bribery for the Lord.
Question: How many filthy soldiers does it take to make the 500 gallons of "pristine" water not so pristine any more?

My feelings about this story have changed from eye-rolling disbelief to outrage.
I just saw a really heart-wrenching story on the news about a 3d Inf Div platoon sergeant who saved his platoon at the cost of his own life. His replacement, a young sergeant, was killed a few days later. These brave and selfless soldiers are over there dying to help make the world safe for our way of life, and this scumbag has the nerve to deny soldiers desperate for clean water a chance to bathe unless they accept baptism? What a jackass.
