I've heard on the radio that there was a heavy set balding iraqi man in the saddam video where he takes a walk among his people. The same man is apparently in the new "crater" video sobbing on the shoulder of another iraqi. He is wearing a blue checkered shirt in the crater video.

Can anyone confirm this? If it is the same man, maybe he was a part of saddams security team. Why else would he be around saddam in both places?

I saw an interview with an ex-Iraqi scientist who left Iraq after the 81 bombing of the nuclear reactor. He said that there is a way to tell the "fake saddams" from the real Saddam. He said that Saddam and his brothers have such contempt for people not in their circle (they are elitists), that the sons will not be seen with the fake Saddams. Granted this is a dated source (he left Iraq in 82), but it sounds interesting because there are some videos where he is surrounded by his leaders and some where he is uncharacteristically alone...
