Yeah, I've cut myself up, broken fingertips, etc. I think you just have to learn the potentialities of your tools, how they can go wrong, and learn

What I said about the second most dangerous power tool? With me, that would be a power drill. Been using 'em since I was a kid, right? Perfectly safe, right?
I was drilling a hole for a 3/8" dowel, into a 45 degree corner...foolishly, I was gripping the workpiece in such a way that my hand was in the path of the drill bit...the bit suddenly exited the other end (not good) and plowed right into my hand, tearing out a 3/8" plug of meat.
Fortunately, I was able to stuff it back in and tape it down. 20 minutes later, I was back at work!
boy, I hope Mickwish doesn't see this, he'll have my hide, hahahahaha
Three years later, the whorls of lines there STILL don't match up!
