Ep, if your mileage goes from 40 to 19, you've got a problem. This cannot be explained by wind resistance.

The best mileage is at the slowest speed at which your car is in its top gear, usually about 40-45 mph (~65-70 kph).

i have a 1990 toyota camry 4 cyl, 5 speed. i get 18 in town and up to 28 on the interstate.i keep tire pressure at 32.and dont keep anything in my car. less weight is better.
