Same prediction as last year, and it ended up being a very mild season. Mother Nature won't ever be predictable.

I've been here in Florida for 25 years and the only Hurricane that did anything to effect me was David in 79. So I take this news with a grain of salt.

When I was aboard ship, we came back from Europe in a hurricane. The MOST exilerating four days of my life. Luckily, I was aboard an aircraft carrier, the guys on the tin cans really had it tough. The waves were awesome and the power of nature was like the hand of the Almighty. Will always make me remember that this sort of thing puts things in perspective and we are NOT in control of our own dentinys.

If Floyd would have hit Florida, you'd be living in a new house.

But you see if you predict doom and gloom for long enough nature will not dissapoint. and once and a while you just may be right.

Terminal23, Orlando should be safe from all but the most powerful hurricanes.

Try telling that line to people like me. I live only a few sparse miles from the coastline. I am already stocking up on supplies and developing an evacuation plan.

Orlando is proned to flooding from Hurricanes.Back in 1960 when Donna hit. Orlando was under water for several days. My sister lives in Sarasota so I worry about her. But, your right.Orlando is safer than the coast. Go BUCS....Actually I'm a Bengals lifetime fan and used to rreally hate the Bucs. But, this year I was very happy they won the Super Bowl. They really deserved it the way they've been playing the past few years.
