I have the Inspiron 1100. Not as many buttons as the 8500. I bought 512MB RAM and reloaded it with XP Pro. So far it works great. I've got it up on the wireless network now.

With the extra RAM, this laptop ran me about $822 delivered. It also came with a free Palm Zire that I'm giving to my sister. Otherwise I would have sold that for around $50. I could also sell the 128MB stick of RAM it came with and get maybe another $20. And because Dell Small Business is located in Illinois, I had to pay $50 in tax. Most other folks won't.
