Outdoors Ticked at Oscars?

Seriously, that was the worst awards show ever! If you have the money and your from a big studio, you win. The awards all went to Chicago and The Hours. Both of these movies,IMO, were absoluetly lame! Good movies: Spiderman, LOTR:The Two Towers, About a Boy, We Were Soldiers, Signs, Catch me if you can, Minority Report, The Rookie, and The Road to Perdition. Absolte great movies. Not one of these won an award. Anyone smell a little bias towards the left?

LOTR won a minor award for something.

But Spiderman? You can't be serious that Spiderman should get any kind of award.

You can't win if you're not nominated, and most of those you named weren't even in the running, except for The Two Towers.

Why do you smell a left bias? What's leftist about The Hours or The Pianist (best director) or Chicago (best picture)? The "leftest" picture that was up for awards, The Quiet American, got zip.

Sounds to me like the usual tendency to blame everything you don't like on some group you also don't like. Me, I put it all down to the joggers...

If Spiderman had been nominated for anything, then I would really worry.

And I consider Monty Python and the Holy Grail to be one of the most enjoyable movies of all time... but I don't think it should have won any major awards .

In any case, I didn't see any of the movies that were nominated (I wanna just have fun when I go to the movies, so I tend not to watch the ones that are likely to ever get nominated); so I am not fit to comment of whether or not they should have won.

I think we were soldiers should of gotten something, I think it was very well made. I'm not huge into war movies, but it certainly brought the life of the soldier and their family into the light a bit more than other war films I've seen.
