Can happen. Some ppl have a heart attack with no pain in the chest, just a bit short of breath and feel a bit poorly. Then they come into hospital, have the tests, and sure enough, it was a mild heart attack.
I think you would know there was something wrong, though, but not necessarily realise it was a heart attack.
Many chest pains are caused by muscles/ligamnets in the chest wall, and sometimes by lung problems. Not all chest pain is heart related, but it is wise to get checked out if you have any chest pain, especially if it involves an numbness, tingling or pain in your left arm.
IMO, seeing a good doc is way better than internet consulations.
