Too funny, even for April 1st

This was way too funny to keep to myself.

CE and I were doing some run arounds, when we stopped at a Big Lots (discount store). I decided to stay in the car, since he was just going in for one item, and I wanted to enjoy the fresh air. This lady and her two daughters were parked right next to us, and when they approached thier car, I saw the mom point to a keyboard she had just bought and said, "This is a PS2 keyboard, you can connect it to your Playstation 2."

I called her over, and explained to her what a PSs was, and she told me the stupid cashier in the store was the one who told her that piece of nonsense!

As it turned out, the lady I was speaking to, had never owned a computer in her life, and didn't know the difference.

I handed her a business card, and let her know when she was ready to obtain a system, to give us a call and we would help her out.

that poor lady, I hope she went back in and got her money back. That is pretty down right low of those sales people to say that the keyboard hooks up to the playstation two.
Guilible on her part too. ya would have thought with todays kids that the kids at least new a keyboard goes with a computer and not a ps2.

I mistook a thread to be about a PS2 device instead of a PlayStation 2, and got myself confused totally (was about networking). Acronyms can be quite useless, somtimes.

For instance, PHP stands for Public Health Physician. ID stands for Infectious Diseases. You get the picture, I'm sure.

At least you got a possible sale out of it, AC.

Cheers
Mick

Which is really sad Mick, I love acronyms!

Good job setting that lady straight AC, I try to help out like that also when the opportunity arises. That is one of the biggest reasons why I became an INFORMED consumer. For the most part these days, I don't buy ANYTHING without knowing something about it.
