Keep in mind we're on ~110 V here, so accidents don't tend to be as "shocking".

Lol, yep. I've gotten shocked by 110v many times when I did residential electrical work. I don't think I ever got shocked with 220v though. 110 is bad enough.

I've been shocked by 110, 220, 372, 600, 15,000, and 1.5million, the worst was 600v, (3 phase) it just grabs (causes your hand to tighten grip on what ever it's holding) That's why electricians work on live wires only when they must, and when they do always keep one hand in your pocket (makes it a lot less likely to hold on to things like grounds of sorts.)

I used to test if 110 lines were live with my fingers, it's not bad at all (don't recommend licking it like a 9volt tho)

Phone lines are quite horrible too, it's only 50v but it's DC, and it spikes to about 140v when it rings, it'll knock you back a fair bit.

For the most part electricity is fun but use caution while holding plugs etc. (i've never shocked myself while plugging something in tho)

i shorted out the prongs on a 110v before when i was little. didnt hurt at all, just kinda "buzzed". much later in highschool i was watching my teacher destroy a pickle and cook a hotdog with the same thing. imagine if i had left my finger there for longer! OUCH!

MAKE SURE TO GROUND ALL YOUR RECEPTICALS !!!!!!!
It only takes a few milli amps to cause heart failure, esspecially if your outside or standing in water . Be careful...

I have gotten shocked with 110 220 480 600, and yep, I've gotten that grip, broke my Klein needle nose pliers, just made them snap from the handle.

one my dad switched on a breaker that he thought wasn't connected to the outlet I was working on, and I got buzzed. I mean I was hooked on the ground and on the hot wire at the same time and all I could do was clench my teeth so I wouldn't bite off my tounge and clench my chest. Why not try letting go? I couldn't, my hands were gripped, I did manage to kick the wall and my dad knew what had happened and kicked off the breaker. Yea this laste for 10 secs but it seemed like 5mins when you're on the recieving end, lol.

Another time I got hit with 220 from the city's incoming line to this lady's electric meter. It was hot, I was wearing a chrome watch, sweat dripped off it and made the weather stripped insulation short me in, and my other hand opened up making me drop my wire cutters and arm swuing out towards the other bare line that was halfway cut and got me the double buzz, and knocked me off my ladder and landed on the ground.

Bad thing it was 2floor home, good thing the ground was soft grass. the bad thing, I left an impression of my body there It was done in an instat but knew what happened when I felt my watch hot and my other hand had an electrical burn.
