After watching a news clip on FOX showing a wounded U.S. soldier getting front line medical aid, the poor guy lays his head back and says "Oh F$@*!" At least Fox had the common decency to edit out his "poor" choice of words. Now if they could only edit out the death we'd all be happy.
Geez, I don't have TV, but I thought I had a pretty good idea of what kind of stuff they were showing. I didn't think there would be footage like that, though! Is it pretty graphic?
Not really... You won't see soldiers bleeding to death after being shot several times or anything.
They just show soldiers getting patched up, etc.
I am sure that many people don't want to see something too graphic on TV.
Under the circumstances, I don't think there is anything wrong. Instead of focusing on his outburst, I think we should look at his bravery.
Because, believe me, I have seen war injuries, they are extremely painful, mentally and physically traumatic and any soldier who gets hurt has earned the right to say what he wants to whom he wants.
I was kinda under the impressions that the piece of bamboo that stuck in my iris was from a weed whacking accident was much the same as an equivelent war injury?
I also thought that my having to walk a half mile on my crushed foot from a car jumping over my foot lifting in the air and then all the central joints in the foot dislocating was pretty painful as well.
IF i were shot I'd say F***, heck I'd probably say it quite a few times, in quite a pissed off manner too. I would definitely not give two hoots about any camera around or who would hear.
