Firstly, looks can be very deceiving. Soemtimes they have school girls do it. Look at Israel. Small tight country. Lots of experience dealing with such incidents. But they still occur. This morning in fact was another.

If the Iraqis are determined, you can't stop a person if he's prepared to die also. No way. Specially in a huge country like Iraq with no security and total chaos.

This is going to create a very serious problem for the US Military.

To add to the confusion, they are now saying that Arabs are coming from all countries.

The report on the radio this morning about the suicide bomb in Israel stated that the bomber died in the incident, eh, well he was a suicide bomber after all.

I mean it is one thing to race your car at the troops through a hail of bullets. Somehow I can see the hatered being fueled by that. Ahhh, the muslim mind continues to astound me.

However once again I do not consider this terrorism. It is a legit military target and therefore all's fair. Nasty dirty sneaky perhaps but the target is legit.

Now using kids as shields, threatening families for loyalty, firing on women and children trying to leave the city. Now those are terrorist acts.

As for being different tactics, I do not know, the explosives laden individual and vehicles loaded with explosives have been around for some time korea, vietnam, had their suicide/homocide bombers

epidemic, if the suicide bombers hit Military targets, please tell me how it can be characterised as terrorism? Its exactly what the US troops do except the methodology is different. This is war and enemy will use all cunning tactics to kill. Isn't the US Military doing the same? Except that they also kill civilians (collateral, deliberate, accidents, mistakes, who knows...in war plenty of propaganda) while so far in Iraq suicide bombers are targeting the invading soldiers.

No, epidemic I wrote this after reading you post. My questions you have avoided is:

1) Isn't the US Military doing basically the same thing?
2) When judging such tactics, we have to look at what we are doing also to the civilians. They probably view the US Military as terrorists and can you blame them? Wouldn't you?

In essence, I see you agree these suicide bombers are not terrorist. But what is your opinion about the civilians being killed there?

Judging by the traffic running through saddam town and generally high foot traffic I would say that they are not terrorized.

But Generally we have been too nice reguarding collateral damage. Being too careful will result in more civillian casualties. As they become more desparate and try to leave the cities they are being mowed down by their troops, starved and generally killed.

So no, on so many levels.
