I just saw the movie "The Mothman Prophecies" and immediatly afterwards looked up information on the internet about this Mothman figure that people had actually seen many years ago.
The unexplained intrigues me as im sure it does others. So I put to you the readers of TechIMO have you ever witnessed anything from the paranormal or something that has spooked you out completely or anything that you plain cant explain.
I'll start
It was about 10 years ago - my 1st flatting experience, I was 18 and had moved into a flat with a small group of people - I had known them previously but not very well.
After a few months of living there one of my flatmates said "lets have a sayance" (sorry if my spelling is not too good). We did so that night and summoned a few spirits etc.
This became a bit of a hobby and we would do this usually every weekend until one night...
The sayance (if anyone could tell me the correct spelling for this) went as usual until we got to the bit of releasing the spirit to which my flatmate (he was in charge of running the sayances and knew what was involved) swore he had mucked up.
The next few days to follow was a very very chilling and not pleasent at all. We would hear unexplained voices at night, furnature and other household items would move around (many of us witnessed including myself - like big arm chairs!!), my flatmate and boyfriend one night saw a ghostly dark face in the fire.
After about 3 or so days of this we had had enough and through advice seeken we approached a spirtalist church who confirmed about an hour later (from their location) that we infact had a pressence. The next day a member of the church came to our house to remove the presence and after this our house was fine.
My 2nd encounter was not really an encounter for me as I didn't know at the time but was rather the conclussion of something that I may have thought could have been.
Several years after my 1st flatting experience, another house I lived in was quite old and had a basement. In the basement was a Pool Table so we would often - probably every day after work go down stairs and play Pool. The basement was quite big and had an old furnace in it, it also had some very dark spots in it and this big dark freaky looking hole in the wall which all sort of strange and howling noises would come out of.
We would play Pool down here from day to day and always hear these strange freaky noises comming from somewhere in the basement, but we eventually just ignored these sounds.
I lived in this house for almost 3 years. About 6 months later after I had moved out I saw one of my previous flatmates who had only just hastely moved out. He had a story to tell.
He said, one day his girlfriend had invited a friend over who had never been over to the house before and was spitually inclined, without knowing anything they went down stairs to have a game of Pool. As soon as the friend had entered the basement she had freaked out as if she had seen something that was not there and then had been thrown to the floor by some strange force. She had then demanded that everyone leave immediatley and my old flatmate and his girlfriend booked into a hotel that night.
The next day the friend had returned with the help of 6 others to remove the spirits from the house.
Apparently at the turn of the centuary this guy had captured about 15 people and held them at knife point in this room (the basement) until everyone had died. It was said that the Basement had held many angry presences.
Well this freaked me out.

I wish he was back, and not the cc puppet george nory, but we are screwed from that aspect. Besides, I would NEVER listen to a CC show ever again, with their war BS. Anyhow, my experiences.
