Confused and concerned

It'll probably be gone soon, but right now CNN has a picture of smoke rising from Baghdad as seen over one of Saddam's palaces. I can't help but wonder why the palace is still standing.

The part for concern is Rumsfeld's warning to Syria and Iran. While I agree that those two nations should stop supplying Iraq with men and material, I'd hate to think we might have to fight them, too.
