Human sheilds from denmark might be prosecuted

Denmark who joined the war last week might charge the so called human sheilds with treason, A crime that under danish law can get you 16years in jail.

Anyone else heard about this ? They just said it on the radio here.

These so-called 'human shields', while (self-admittedly) stupid, are people of conscience. No matter how dumb the action of such a person, I can't help but be impressed by anyone who is willing to put their butt on the line--quite literally, in this case!

Besides, you say the Danish Government didn't get into the fray until last week....well, when these guys were doing their 'shield' thing, it was not in defiance of their country's war activities (at that time), so where is the TREASON?

Huh! Well, if they are still supporting their nation's enemy in a time of war, that's treason, all right. For some reason, I had assumed the 'shield' people had given it up.

It seems that some of those "human shields" were a bit disillusioned when they expected to be parked in front of a hospital or a kindergarten, and Saddam sent them out in the desert to shield an oil derrick.

Like cadd said: It depends who in the U.S. committs treason. If the person is rich and high enough up on the food chain, they'll be ok.
