I think this is where the disconnect occurs. We are not saying the US does no right and Saddam is right and Bush sucks. Not at all.
What we are saying is that 99% of the time the US does the right thing, 1% of the time Saddam is right and 0.000088758387% of the time Bush sucks.
Point is that when you make out a case that the enemy is always wrong and the US military is always right, something's not kosher here.
Look, we all know Saddam is the bad guy. But Bush is pulling some fast ones too. Taking huge chances politically and militarily.
To get back to CBB's question, Yes the US military broke the Geneve Convention by humiliating Iraqi soldiers with hands on their heads and flanked by armed guards and then showing on TV.
Iraqis did the very same thing but worse in degree.
What I protest is that George Bush, like a wimp, complains and threatens action against war crimes. I didn't hear the Iraqis threaten Bush and scream that all responsible US personnel responsible for breaking the Geneve Convention and mistreating Iraqi soldiers will face war crime charges.
See the disconnect. You react and threaten but then you do it too.
Grow up Bush. Can't have your cake and eat it too. Can ya?
Edit: Not Gomer but CBB. Typo.
