I wonder how many of the shields have spoken out in this fashion?

Are there other stories like this?

What do most of the ones who have left think after their tour of duty???

The arguments for and against the need for war in Iraq should have ended about a week ago when the war started.

The thing EVERYONE wants now on BOTH sides is a quick end to the war. That will not happen by protesting the war. Iraqi TV is showing images of American war protesters, with signs like "Bush is an evil dictator", to get the people that are fighting for Saddam worked up to put up a bigger fight. Anyone carrying such a sign could be the cause of a coalition soldier being killed.

Actually, if it weren't for the protesters Saddam might have realized that everyone wants him out and it would be best for him to just go into exile. But now that the war has stated the protesters are doing even more harm.

This war could have possibly been prevented if it hadn't been for the protesters. This war could possibly come to a quicker end if it weren't for the protesters. And they wonder why people think they are un-American.

I agree with everything except for the Anti-American part.

I do believe that they think this is the best course of action. Protesting to bring the troops home.

The problem is that this will not bring the troops home and it does give compfort and moral boost for Iraq. This increase in moral is devastating to a war effort. It guarantees that some of the Iraqis will fight longer and harder. Since this war is not going to ended by protests, this means more starvation, more skirmishes, more dead iraqis, more dead marines and there is no contest on this.

War is both psycological and physical. A people who see no hope will surrender faster than ones who think that world opinion could save them.

Anti war protest do kill, the question only remains how many they kill.
