Any doctors about ? Important medical question

I went to my doc today and had my blood tested for infections
the test reported that I have 16ml S-CRP in my blood.

He said this was nothing to worry about and gave me a prescription of penicillin , I have to take 4000mg's of this stuff per day , this seems a bit much , The last time I had a infection i got 1000mg's.

Is 16ml S-CRP something to worry about ?

I am not a medical doctor and the only CRP i know stands for C-reative protein. Its elevated in your blood to alarm the rest of the body that there is inflammation occurring

you really should have asked your doctor more questions until you were satisfied and felt comfortable. give their office a call and hopefully he can answer your questions over the phone.

I'd run Norton Anti-virus just to be sure!

lol

Actually I managed to find some information about the CRP's
a normal CRP count is <8ml/L or less , but It's not uncommon for patients with severe infections to have 150-200 or even 250ml/L

So I guess 16 isn't that bad , I was more courious to what it was.
