Lancer Sedan Max Wheel Size?

Hey all, just thought i'd see if any rev head's from here could help me out at all....

I've got a Mitsubishi Lancer sedan (pics in my gallery), basically i'm looking at "ricing it up" alittle.... I've been told that 18x7.5inch wheels will fit on the car without rubbing, do ya's think that would be correct or would those wheels rub on the car?

Thanks

JayMan

The car is nice... The only thing I don't like about it is that the tire/wheel combo looks like something off of a Geo.

But please... PLEASE don't turn this thing into a ricer. That's the fastest way to ruin a perfectly good car. .

I'm really unsure... Check out TireRack.

Well i've been told that 18x9's actually fit on the car without rubbing (need to roll the rear wheel arches slightly).... But no insurance company's would cover it.... I can only go 7inch wide and be covered, which is fine with me, but their arn't many 18x7 wheels, so looks like 17x7 is about the biggest the car can handle (and be insurable).

Damn i hate australian regulations!

Yeh i checked out tirerack last night, but its US based and doesn't actually have my car... closest equivalent they have is the mirage sedan (which is basically the same car), and they say 17x7.5 is the biggest.

Xenon, don't worry, i'm not a true ricer... i just figured "ricing it up" would get the most attention (looks like it caught your attention atleast hehe). Thanks for the post anyways!

I've had some 17x7 wheels (BSA245) on order for 3 months now.... They still havent arrived in australia, hence why i started this thread, cuz i can get very similar wheels in 18x7.5..... But it looks like i just have to play the waiting game.....
