Al-Jazeera TV broadcasting US POW interviews.

In direct violation of the Geneva convention, Iraqi TV has interviewed wounded American POWs for propaganda purposes. Even to the point of forcing one injured American to raise his head to answer questions.

Also showed footage of what was purportedly bodies of dead US servicemen and women in a morgue.

Prayers to them!

Bill

edit:

Pentagon saying bodies appear to have been executed. FOX refusing to air.

Well I did not see the interviews.

We show POW's as well but we do not interview them.

To interview them is probably under duress as they would not likely want to talk about their ordeal at this point.

by durress I would say some for of torture AKA withholding medical, and or infliction of pain.

Horrible... but the US showed what it thought of the Geneva convention with the whole Afghanistan deal.

Plenty of footage showing them locked in chain link cages with hoods over their heads etc. (which I saw fitting). But I guess the US gave them some other special designation that made them not qualify as POW's. I am sure that other than that, the US treated them with utmost care.... even when they wouldn't talk.

we don't show their faces and we don't single them out for interview on TV.. when we do show them, it is generally in large groups at a distance..

I pretty much expected the Iraqi's to do something like this once they captured some troops... you can't have an operation this big and not have troops get killed or captured. I figured they were smart enough not to execute them, and then put the bodies on TV.. guess it just goes to prove what type of people we are dealng with...

makes you wonder why we are so nice to their troops, they probally get treated better by us than they do by their own army.

GOMER,
KILLING AMERICAN TROOPS IS NOT THE SAME AS WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. YOU NEED TO STOP IT RIGHT NOW. WE MAY HAVE 5 US SERVICEMEN EXECUTED AND YOU BRING UP YOUR NORMAL BS. STOP IT NOW.
YOU HAVE SERIOUSLY CROSSED THE LINE THIS TIME.
DAVE

The U.S. filmed Iraqi troops surrendering before they became POW's.

Closed before this gets out of hand.
