I still do not get how a aircraft just goes missin. Don't they track there own planes on radar. Or was it to low to track?

When the aircraft crashes or is shot down, it can't be tracked and is reported missing till wreckage is found.

Latest report is our patriot missiles may have shot it down. I sure hope not. We killing more of our own people than the enemy.
