I just wonder.......somebody with "being an alien" on their mind...someone who...who....might be....

Errrr...What exactly is a Geek, anyhow ?

I always thought that term was a bit perjorative--sort of like if you were smarter than somebody about something , than you were dumber to be smart--or something like that.

Mostly people use the term "geek" with no ill-will .But sometimes they do.

I've also noticed a twinge of the "apologetic" when people refer to themselves as "geeks"--like, excuse me but sorry I'm smarter than you about..etc

I must refer to Terry Pratchett's Discworld here... This isn't quoted, but what I remember of it...

Somewhere deep in the mighty Ramtops is the temple of the Monks of Cool...anyway....to become a monk of cool you have to pass the final test. The test consists of walking into a room with alot of different clothing and a monk asking something like "What would be the coolest thing to wear?". And the right answer is: "Hey...whatever I choose."

Oh well...hope you kinda get it at least... I'm not the best storyteller.
