) and wanted a small SUV to haul us and the dawgs around and get decent fuel mileage as well.
They seemed the have gotten it together since KIA bought them, or it might be the other way around(Hyundai bought KIA? )
I think they realized that in todays world market, you can't put out a crappy/unreliable product and expect to be around for very long.
