anti-war protestors=deadly for everyone

anybody catch bill o'reily's argument last night about anti-war protestors making it dangerous for everyone??
think about it, a few thousand protestors on a street, clogging up the traffic, causing a ruccus. seems normal enough, but at a time like this its not a good idea.

the police would have to give them the pitiful attention that they want so they can make sure they dont get out of hand.
meanwhile some terrorist could make an attack, and the protestors would only be blocking the path, and keeping the men and women who are supposed to be doing their job, but are too busy dealing with these sad individuals.

Seriously .. what if it was a M.A.D.D. march or Million Mom March. Would we tell these people they were sad individuals and not give them the (sarcastic on) pitiful attention they want (sarcastic off)

Please remeber this is a free country. If people want to march aginst this war, thats their choice whether you agree with it or not.

Personally, I don't agree with the anti-war protesters and I do think this isn't the time to waste resources keeping them under control.

But they do have the right and freedom to protest! Plain and simple, they have the right and freedom to voice their opinions and feelings no matter what others think.

Harder

It ticks me off they don't see things the way I do, but I know that I don't see things the way they do either. It is there right to march in protest. Thats part of what makes America so great! I mean I'd like to see some protesters march Iraq against what Saddam is doing. They would so never be seen again.

Blocking traffic though is a problem. Thats forcing someone into listening to you. Its not a good way to earn more crediblity either. It should be peacefull and well managed.

Yes they do, but the right to free speech is not unlimited. Their expression may not infringe on the rights of others to go about their daily lives. And while the government is obligated to accomodate protestors, it may also restrict the right to protest if such protests put public safety at risk.

But it is the Government actions that has put us all at risk of retalliatory terrorist attacks from Iraq against the invasion of their country.

I think the point is that as a protestor you may not interfere with any ones rights.

If you block roads, block access to buildings, hell if you keep me up at night you are in the wrong as it is disturbing the peace.
