I would also love to know how this works. I'm sure its not that difficult, but it probably has something to do with math, and I suck at working with numbers.

It's all in the math. Multiple numbers are marked with the same symbol. If you just choose a symbol without doing the math, it doesn't work, so it's not really reading your mind.

took me a few but figured it out , the most common symbol there is the only one that will come up each time . and if u do the math on all the combo's , i only did a few, they all come up to that symbol .

Without looking at this site... I can safely say that any two digit number that sums to 90 is the answer, i.e. 54, 36, 72 etc.

Spoiler below
Yes the solution is simple if you think of it.
Just click on the bowl at any time. Then look at the numbers.
If you do the math for all (2 digit) numbers it will end up on the same symbol.
By rotating the symbols corresponding the figures it looks likes it is finding another symbol each time.
But I must say its one of the coolest tricks I've seen on the net
Edit: yes Gomer: 9,18,27,36,45,54,63,72,81 are always the answers, the other symbols are there to confuse you in seeing a pattern
