It's time for the anti-war people to stop

Your opinions have been greatly appreciated. But now, regardless of how you feel about the necessity of this war, it's going to happen, and it won't be over until the mission is complete. Nothing good can come from protesting now. It’s time to use that energy to show support for our troops. The more support they have the quicker this will be over and the less painful it will be. If you can't do that then the next best thing is to be silent.

I don't understand why the anti-war protestors must now stop. It must be because we are dissidents and dissent has now been de-legitimized. Silence is not an option when innocent humans are being murdered.

It is unacceptable to support something that I deem unjust. And it's good to see that all you hawks and war-mongerers on this board continue to spout your garbage. I wouldn't expect anything less.

When the next terrorist attack happens, maybe you'll look back in hindsight and think, "hmmm, maybe it wasn't such a good idea that we went into the Middle East and stirred things up." But then again, you'll all still be the ignorant, inconsiderate morons that you are now.

The terror attacks will be used as further reasons for more wars (of liberation I guess). It's an endless cycle of stupidity.

Eloquently put, willy_ph. Let us see to what extent they murder civilians and destroy civilian sites before we pass judgement.

But I can tell you one thing for sure. In their haste to go to war, they have made serious miscalculations about how easy it will be. They have not considered an extremely hostile local population which thinks they are being invaded by an occupying army, a large number of "spies" mingling with the populations, the actual and real resolve of US soldiers when it comes to hand-to-hand fighting and so on.

Its one thing to bomb Afghanistan from 30,000 feet and quite another to try and overthrow an entire country.
