Impressive picture that speaks a thousand words.

But there is something that I don't get.

Just because America helped Europe during a time of need, does this mean that Europe must support every war that America wages, even if they don't believe in the cuases/reasons for these wars?

What kind of a friendship is this that you want?
This is an honest question.

in the future we wont have to worry about any of these countries that are giving us problems.
the US will be the first to colonize another planet and leave all the disputes between those who would rather not better the human race.

CM, I think no one was asking France to send their Marines to fight. All Bush wanted was for France not to veto the Second Resolution. Thats all.

The fact that they didn't do it and in fact threatened to veto any armed action against the Iraqis is what has got people here all worked up.

Basically, France jsut had to either abstain or not veto. Thats all.

Well they have a right to use their veto like all permanent members of the security council dont they?

Why is that seen as a back stabbing?

America has used it's veto on quite a few counts, 76 to be precise.
France has used it 18 times.

What can I say?

Proof positive that one picture is worth 10,000 words!

Did the US veto even once against a French Resolution?

Maybe 76 times but against their enemies. France was helped and liberated by US army--many boys your age got killed by Germans. Can you blame the people here when they say that if not supporting US, France should have kept quiet. Not actively and pro-actively oppose the same people that saved them.

Please understand the position. Its not a question of agreeing to US position or back stabbing.
