Anyone watch "Junkyard Wars" tonight?

This was a 2 hour-3 team special. Americans, Brits, and Russians.

The teams were instructed to build race machines for a 3 stage run consisting of a straight out speed run, hill/rock climb, and a water run.

I was happy to see the 'mericans whoop some booty with their beast of a machine. (also American I might add, Chevy 4x4 based)

Brits came in a close second and definately showed some major spirit towards the end but those Russians..... What the heck was that?!?!

That's show pins my kids and me to the couch pretty much every Saturday night. We watched the whole thing and were pulling for the Americans all the way. When they pulled ahead coming out of the water on the amphibian leg, the kids were jumping up and down like we'd just won the world cup or something.

But what great sports. All those guys are so gracious, despite a very competitive streak. It's a great example to the kids of how to win and lose gracefully.

Is it on saturday night now? No wonder I never see it anymore. It seems like the type of show us techincal/enginnering types would like, but the funny thing is I didnt know it existed until my roommates told me about it. They are about as non-intellectual, non-studious, computer-illeterate people as I know. Just goes to show.........

I'm usually out getting drunk and having a good time on fridays and saturdays. For my roommates, its not a question of what nights you get drunk, its what nights DONT you get drunk?

The last one I saw was when they had to build a cannon of some sorts, and had to shoot down the other teams "fort" The one who knocked down the most blocks won. Was quite interesting.

That show used to be my favorite. But ever since I've been living here in the dorm, tv has almost vanished in my daily life. Wished I could've seen that special episode.

The lack of television has to be the worst part about university/college. Since coming to university, I've watched television maybe 5 hours since September.
