I own Risk2...it is a pretty cool adaptation of the board game. Different game modes and animations make it pretty interesting

Thanks for the links and info everyone.

I have just discovered Diplomacy, it is also a board game but can be played through email too.

The difference is that unlike Risk, Diplomacy is not luck based which makes it even more exciting.

You can find more info here: http://www.diplom.org/ (both about the play-by-email and the face-to-face versions).

RISK!!! LOL

When I was a young teen, my Dad and I played that game for hours, each one ended in a screaming match. You don't just lose a game of Risk, you get annihilated, pummeled to the ground, then stomped on for fun. My mom threw the game in the trash, probably saved our family life.

Edited for brain fart. UNO is way meaner than risk.

I remembered the old repeat reverse and draw 4 whammy method. The kid on the receiving end of that is scarred for life.

I believe that saddams dad played a particularily hard game of UNO with him and you see the results.

Sorry is not nice though.

UNO is also one of my favourites, haven't played it in a while though.

At my house we play a version of UNO where if you play a 7 you can swap hands with anyone at the table, if you play a 0 all players swap hands with the person next to them in the direction of play, if someone plays a draw two on you, you can play a draw two on top and the person next to you has to draw four, then if they lay one... well you get the picture, it is really mean.

we play it that way with draw two or draw 4. That can get ugly. after a while you cant fan the cards any more.

we also played draw until you can play a card.
