I just got an XM radio about two week's ago. I think it's the best thing since sliced bread.

I spend so much time in a vehicle and "was" constantly searching for radio stations. I highly recommend XM.

No static, 101 channels (so far) a lot of news, talk, comedy and of course all the music you could ask for. If you spend a large amount of time driving, you can't go wrong.

You also can just "snap" it out of the cradle put it in another car or bring it home and hook it up to your home system (in just a couple of seconds). I've already got 5 more guy's at work to buy one. Wish I had some stock in them as I believe it's the next big craze since cell phones. I got the Delphi model (Sony makes them also) cost about $185.00 with one car cradle, $9.99 a month subscription fee. CNN, FOX CNBC, are on 24/7. I got it mostly for talk radio and news but the 3 comedy channels are good too. Edit: For you sports and nascar fans they have something for you.

XM radios are pretty neat. Of course I like having my CD player to play CD's.
I know a couple of truck drivers that actually have XM radios because that way they can listen to the same station where ever they go.

Exactly, I drive for a living so I have many hours to listen ( getting ready to leave right now). I really don't think it's worth it if you only commute back and forth to work 30 minutes a day. But if you spend a lot of time in a vehicle it's a no brainer to me. They do have some commercial free stations as well.

Edit: I'm heading to Jackson, Vicksburg, Natchez, MS. I deliver Batteries to Sears, Wal-mart, Motorcraft,Costco and Interstate batteries.

Yeah I just need some stock in them and I'd promote them even more.

Ahh where are you heading? Yes, for someone that is on the road driving it's definetely something I would recommend.
It's very reliable right? Maybe you can promote them a bit.

I think they've been around a couple of years and almost went bankrupt. I believe GM saved them by installing XM in Cadillac's and offering it as an option in some others. I would imagine most people didn't want to buy the radio ( 6 months ago they were about $300.00) just to listen to something they could get for free. However I was soooooo tired of searching channels every 20 minutes and finding another talk show instead of the one I was already listening to. Now I can keep it on 1 station and drive from Florida to California and never lose the station. I can also keep up on all the news 24/7.

Ohh Florida to California? Yeah, having 1 station you can listen to the whole way is very nice.
Even if you do moderate travel, it's still a GREAT thing to have installed.

I have Sirius. I love the comedy, theres no editing of swearing. It was awesome to hear Red Foxx adn Richard Pryor the other day. Im not a fan of trance, actually I hate it, and its all they play on the "techno" stations. Its not techno btw.

I looked at it awhile back then heard news of it fizzleing with one of the companys goin under due to lack of interest---
Sirius and XM are the only ones right?
Id want to bring it in from the car and use it in the pad as well---
Which one offers the better programming or is it the same between the 2?
Which one offers the better equipment for inhome/car use?
Which one offers the better deal/installation etc---
I guess 10$ amonth is the common subscription rate---
anyone know?

PLUS---do the differing "channels" rotate a "tape" of canned music or how does it work? If I listen at 8 in the morn will I hear the same thing exact thing at 8 in the evening? Or possibly 8 the next day? How does that work?
