Set the scenario, the original question was about fitting heatsinks...
Wizz: I have a Retail Athlon heatsink running on my K6-2 450.
But be very careful with the screwdriver.
It takes a fair amount of pressure, and I had to solder.
Nukes: LMAO! Solder?? Where?!
To hold the clip in place I presume?
Wizz: Nah, to fix the board, took out a resistor on the first slip, got that back on.
Then took out a cap, resistor and crushed a diode on the second.
But it's working quite well now.
Nukes: LOL. I normally use my fingers, [to fit the clip]
[But] If I can't.
I get a big, flat-headed screwdriver and do it with that.
Small ones are more likely to slip, whereas a big one cut so it fits around the clip does it great.
Wizz: [a big, flat-headed screwdriver ?] that's what I used, it shears parts off nice and clean.

! ROFL!

Sorry to dob you in Wizz, but it was too good to leave it buried in the Tech threads.
