the phone booth one is just.. its like the stupidest movie concept i have heard in years.. and that core movie, they talk about detonating a thousand megatons of nukes in the core of the earth.. people in hollywood need to get shot in the head..

Worse are the "remakes" that are coming soon.

Things like a "Starsky and Hutch" movie... (Ever read the story of the originals? {Anyone remember the title, please let me know. I can't find my copy...}That was cool, this is lame).

And just for once I would like to see a GOOD book to screen transfer of Heinlein. Go back and make Starship Troopers the movie it could have been (and something that is needed again IMO).

Or how about remaking (sort of) something worth remaking? I'm speaking of the Myth series and its contempories. Good writing that is intended to entertain. (So it rips its plots from old Dean Martin road movies, and the three stooges...).

I hate remakes, it is always evident that when the big studios are out of new and fresh ideas they attempt remakes. They try to justify it by saying they want to go back to the 'traditions and roots' blablabla..

I agree, that's one of my favorite books. The kids series Roughnecks was closer to the book than the Movie.

ever see eXisteZ? i like indie films. i agree completely about stupid movies... honestly, trying not to rock the boat too much, star wars is over rated. i mean yeah the newest ones suck hard, but even the old ones. man.

there will come a point in which every idea has already been thought by someone sometime.
