If you are worried about the quality of our top-line intellectual magazines, the following quote might reassure you: Harpers found in its December 2002 issue that “the minimum number of neutered pets worldwide that have been implanted with fake testicles stands at 100,000.”
If you’re concerned about the quality of our political publications, just read the article about Joseph Lieberman’s 88-year-old mother in March 2003 edition of The American Prospect and you’ll certainly feel much better. And The New Democrat Blueprint makes a startling revelation in the January/February 2003 edition: “Democrats aren’t dead.” It goes on to say “Democrats need a bold stroke,” but never gets around to telling us what that might be.
Fake testicles, perhaps? (Don't mind me; I'm just feeling grumpy.)
