Geeze that sux! My first DSL connection went like that,, cept it was up for only about 8 hours after I got the install,,, Doh! went bellie up, and I had to change my phone number to get the line released for a new provider!
I was with Excite, all they did was migrate my services over to AT&T Broadband.
I can't be the only one of the lucky few here. this all happened at midnight last night and rebooted this morning and it took me to a new page and said to update my account settings.
Excite couldn't have just dropped people and leave some people with a connection. Excite are the ones who went bankrupt. So AT&T are buying out the services (this is my understanding from the emails from them. ) So they are migrating the @home or @Excite customers to the AT&T Broadband.
Yep Neo, that's what OuTpaTienT said, but that it would be at least 2 weeks. 2 weeks is usually much longer! You got lucky girl! to not have any down time! Opps, OuT is with at home maybe they are doing excite first??

Sorry to hear that Out is OUT of the swing of things for the moment, does he have a backup plan for the next two weeks. and have they garrenteed that he will have services again in two weeks, or is this just a line they are giving people?
So, anyone who was on Excite is now without service? Man, that would be a major bummer! How come I never hear about this stuff. Maybe I need to have a better home page....hmmmm. So we are without some of our friendly people for awhile.
