I've been off and on their page with no problems all day. I had this same problem about 2 weeks ago. I couldn't hit the site, but everyone else could. I think it was a node between me and the server.
From command line type
tracert www.newegg.com .. its possible either DNS isn't resolving to an IP for whatever reason, or there's something down in between

If it is, than it maybe taking another route than what you would use from your home.
