What would Gore have done?

Ok, so all you wining liberals don’t like the way George Bush is handling the Iraq situation. What the hell would Gore be doing right now? Here’s what I think. He’d be raising our taxes and putting more people on the welfare line. He’d be playing the race game and pit rich and white against poor and black. He would have made Clinton an ambassador to some country where Clinton would be seeing what other entern he could get. Jesse Jackson would be in charge of trying to heal the country and get the races to get along. To name just a few, you fill in the rest. In the meantime, Osma Bin Laden would be in Afghanistan training more terrorist to fly more planes into more buildings. Iraq would continue massing its weapons of mass destruction for future use by these very terrorist. You liberal fools are undermining the United States with your words and actions. I guess you don’t like to live in the freest country that ever was or ever will be. Or perhaps you’re in line for some position of power when the United States falls. You can be rest assured though that this will all fail. Because in the long run there are enough decent Americans who will stomp you out like the **** roaches you are.

Terminal,

It's not good to "sugar coat" your words. You need to really let people know what you really think!

I'm on board with you dude!

This does not pertain 100%, but it is along the same lines. And yes, I know it has already been posted in its own thread. It is too important to not pay attention to.

I agree that the nation would be in more dire straights if Gore had won. He almost did steal the election by trying to nullify the absentee ballots, which were mainly sent by military who are heavily Republican.

First of all, Bush stole the election by disenfranchising thousands of black voters in Florida.

Second, one thing that wouldn't have happened is ignoring al-Qaeda until it was too late. According to TIME MAGAZINE, the Clinton NSA had a plan to strike al-Qaeda way before 9/11. However, because a new administration was coming in, they didn't have the opportunity to implement it and Bush's NSA Chair, Rice, shelved it. http://www.time.com/time/nation/arti...333835,00.html Perhaps 9/11 wouldn't have happened.

Third, Gore surely wouldn't be bankrupting the country by having massive tax cuts while increasing spending on war. Estimates of his budget deficits are $3 Trillion. Hope you all locked into fixed rate mortgages because we're going to see big rises there.

Fourth, Gore wouldn't be nominating racists to the federal bench as Bush has done.

Fifth, Gore wouldn't be trying to deprive women of their reproductive rights, as Bush is doing.

Sixth, Gore would have an environmental policy that actually protected the environment instead of giving the national forests to the loggers and Alaska to the oil companies.

Seventh, there would be an energy policy that was more sensible than Bush's drill and burn policy.

First time I've heard someone defend Bush and put down Gore in a while. After all, I live in NJ where everyone is anti-Buch.

I voted for Gore but my vote was pretty much wasted because I live in Illinois and, for the most part, it's a Democratic state. It's always bothered me that we have a President who never got the popular vote! Our way of electing our representatives is flawed, in my opinion. The electoral college is a real joke and it's a shame that we cannot explain it to our young people. How can we have a leader who never got the majority of our citizen's votes?

I don't really know what Gore would have done after 9/11. I do believe that he wouldn't have come up with that goofy statement of an, "axis of evil"! Duh! Who writes his stuff anyway?

There's one candidate who I really like. His name is Howard Dean. Bush better watch for this guy. I'm going to enjoy the debates down the road. Has anyone seen this guy before? I think he's the answer.

I saw Gov. Dean on meet the press and he was impressive. I also liked his quote, "I represent the democratic wing of the Democratic party."

Bush did nothing to the black voters. That is a pretty outlandish idea. Gore tried to get as many votes kicked out of Florida as he could. Bush stood by and watched while Democrats moved in for a full week to cast out thousands of Americans' votes that should have counted. Bush wanted a full recount, but Gore wanted a recount of 3 heavily Democratic counties only. Gore would not agree to a full recount. People who say Bush stole the election have little/no evidence to stand on.

Clinton attacked Al Qaeda once. The US military laughs at his actions. He shot 2 cruise missiles into Syria and blew up a few tents and camels. Al Qaeda had been tipped off and were nowhere to be found. Clinton never acted again. The idea that Gore would have done better is a big assumption based on contrary ideas. Al Qaeda and Iraq both have publicly called the US weak because of our lackadaisical actions between 1992 and 2000.

Bush is not bankrupting the country. Gore would have continued to cut military spending and boost the welfare state. Both are very destructive. This is a matter of opinion or philosophy though which is the fundamental difference between Reps and Dems and will not be solved here.

Gore would have nominated just as many racists, like Jackson and Sharpton. He would have also backed crooks, like the ones that surrounded him for 8 years. On his watch as VP, we have seen the utmost in corruption.

Gore would have given the environment to the people, but what he didn't realize is that most people want enterprise. It is hard to feed someone with a wetland 2500 miles away.

Bush has put monies toward hydrogen fuels and is making a move away from oil.

Actually Bush did do something to black voters in Florida. But it wasn't George; it was his brother Jeb. I think there is enough reading on the manipulation of the voting list in Florida to last you a little while. How about you go read up on it?
