hard to find any of those games anymore.
I scored 1.8 million on pacman...it was all about patterns...once you could move the pacman smoothly it was just learning patterns.
Ms pacman didnt have patterns so it was harder...all improvisation....but I could still rock ms pacman....they had it in the mall a few years back...I think it was 2000 and the game came out in 1982 if I remember right....so I am playing and this kid is watching..ive got like 100000 on my first man, lol..and finally he busts out and says "Jesus, youre good"....I pointed up on the game where the date 1982 was...I said "dude, Ive been playing for 18 years, if I aint good by now something is seriously wrong!"
I also knew a trick on galaga where you could make the enemys quit firing at you altogether....something like on the second screen kill all the men except one of the last two that appear on the screen...and then let it attack you continuously until it "runs out of bullets"....took like 20 minutes I guess...then for the rest of the game they didnt fire..hehe.
In about 82-84...the arcade heyday...I played lots of games...I was a kid so it was important, lol...id be all dramatic like if a dude who was my pacman "enemy" came and stood over my shoulder while I was playing, I would immediately crash the game so that dude wouldnt see my pattern.
I also scored like almost 2 million on asteroids..played for like 4 hours on one game...which of course meant I had to count how many times I "turned it over" cuz it only went to 100,000 then back to 0.
Back in the day.
