New Non-Smokers

I was curious, how are all you guys, who quit smoking recently, doing? It is now over 2 months, and CE and I are doing great!

OH, AC, I am so glad to hear that!

I'm still clean (since Dec.31, midnight)...

But I'm getting pretty shaky. Maybe it's because of the cockiness at having not smoked since then, but tonight I almost asked somebody for a cig.

I think I'm starting to get into a "well, I haven't smoked at all, so therefore, I can just have a little ciggie, right?" train of thought.

Good God, there is one thing about addiction that I have learned:

The addiction LIES to me...and it will CONTINUE to lie to me.

It's been three months, and I STILL long for a cig. When will it stop.

It's been almost 5 months for me, and I can honestly say that it is going much better than I had hoped for. Heck, someone used my truck for work and left a cigarette in it and I didn't give it a second notice. Just tossed it in the ash tray ( even tried to give it to my friend who smokes still )

29 years for me...smoked three packs of Camels/Lucky Strike and never missed a drag. Had a chest x-ray and I really got the scare of my life. Took three years to finally quit, but it's been well worth it. Yous guys keep the faith. Just think of ALL that extra cash in your pocket ( though , I'm sure, you'll find something else ( G-Force card ) to spend it on

lol korgul, we'll give you a later cutoff date

Congrats folks keep up the good work
I quit close to 2 years ago, and one night I had a REALLY bad night and I started up again It was ONE day short of a FULL year.. so no it does NOT go away easily. I quit again a few months later and I'm still going That was like last June or something like that, that I quit again

Good luck, and keep up the good work
Glad to hear it AC/CE, I know you two had tried a few times before and couldn't quite make it.. sounds like you're on a much more solid road this time

Keep it up all of you. Its a great thing to stop smoking. I am going on 4 years now. I still get an ocasional craving, but they are getting less and less intense every time.

Still going strong here. I've lost everybody here who quit smoking. They couldn't hack it. It was too hard. You all are elite. You rock. You smell nice. Been since the end of September or something for me. I gained weight, but it's now coming off. Easy come, easy go.

Poor Knothead!

You will have cleared the hump when walking into a smoke-filled room(there arent any left in Delaware )will disgust you rather than make you crave for a butt.
Keep it up,everybody.Quitting is easier than dying!
