NASA just recently released some of the pictures that the shuttle took with the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission in 2000 at

You can go to the JPL to download the high (and I do mean *HIGH*) resolution TIFFs, or just look at the small ones they show. The North America one's really cool-looking and is 208MB. The one they have of the Yucatan is 617MB

and goes even deeper in detail. I thought I could see some roads on there (straight lines) when I zoomed in all the way.
