Big Brother makes presence felt

Free speech, a key tenet of the US Constitution, is facing unusual challenges in pre-war, post-September 11 America, where wearing an anti-war T-shirt prompted an arrest and lampooning the Vice-President's wife drew a letter from a White House lawyer.

When I read about the incident at the mall, recently, I admit I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I know what they said about private property and all, but I still couldn't believe it.

I heard one of the guys wearing the shirts was a lawyer. Was he shopping for a case? I think there may be more to the story.

Plus, the mall is private property. Can't discriminate against race, creed, handicaps, etc. Dress codes are common. Gotta read the fine print.

We should be more tolerant about people who are against fighting. "Can't we all just get along?"
