World buzzing with Osama catch

Nine al-Qaeda men held near Afghan border; officials claim Osama or his son among arrested

QUETTA: A major operation was reported to have been conducted in Noshki near Chaghai in Balochistan on Thursday to apprehend the top al-Qaeda terrorists hiding there. According to Online News Agency nine al-Qaeda suspects were reported to have been arrested in the raid. But there was no confirmation of this from any source.

The agency quoted some officials as claiming that among the captured could be Osama bin Laden or his son. According to sources two US helicopters carrying American commandos landed near Noshki on Wednesday. They also said that a large number of Western correspondents rushed to the site. Reports said that Pakistani troops were also there and the whole day on Thursday a significant troops movement was seen in the area.

I doubt he will be caught alive. If he has managed to elude the greatest manhunt in history by the greatest nation in the world for 18 months I think these rumours need to be taken with some amount of sodium chloride.

treason and sedition come to mind when I read these types of articles.

Of course if the government sanctions the release of such information I guess you can't make that charge.

But lets think about this. Govt sources give CNN information before the capture of osama. "he called a family member and it gave us his location" Now osama thinks to himself, "well I called dear old aunt flora last night that means they know where I am".

"Perhaps I should move on a bit" "Oh yea and they know what phone I am using now apparently so time to get a new one".

Now if CNN dredged this up from an unsanction source then it is treason and or sedition for them to report on it until osama's capture, IMO a death penalty offense.

Where does the peoples need to know come into this picture.

Another scenario:

Osmama's satellite phone is secure and the dude is using a scrambler anyways.

CNN releasing such a report is an attempt to help osama so that the president can't catch him. CNN wants Bush to fail. that is my conspiracy theory.
