Crossroads Mall in Upstate NY , GuilderlandNY, arrested a a shopper for disruptive behaviour and cloaths. Now just how did he do this deed most foul? He, a 61 year old Lawyer and his 31 yr. old son were shopping there when stopped by Mall Security and ordered to cease and desist in their disruptive behaviour.
Their T-shirts.
One said,
Peace on Earth, the other,
Give Peace a Chance.
The younger Roger Downs took off his T-shirt but his Father refused. He was arrested for trespassing. Police Chief quioted as "I dont care why, they were asked to leave".
Wednesday a 100 protesters showed up at Mall and demanded charges be dropped and that Mall make public it T-shirt policy.
After all, one can assume they didn't want to be faced with a 'rap sheet' for wearing a contraband slogan on their T-shirts.
Now did the Mall Management stick to their Constitutional right to give the heave-ho to anyone wearing a "disruptive of shoppers"

Management , listen to this,
dropped the charge of Trespassing against the Shopper who disrupted all other shoppers with either
"Peace on Earth" - or- "Give Peace a Chance"
COMMENTARY:
Now Woodrow Wilson, before taking the US into WWOne, said,"To fight a war you must be ruthless..". Clearly the Crossroads management are not up to this standard.
And what about the Security of ALL the shoppers and store-owners--which was clearly compromised when these capable Security personnel were distracted from pickpockets/shoplifters--by this notorious T-shirt saying Violation.
Certainly, I wouldn't want to shop in a Mall that allowed someone to come in with the saying,
"I'm With Stupid" on their T-shirt.
Because of the cowardliness in dropping the charge probably because people protested it and wanted to know what the allowable slogans were for their Mall shopping, other Malls may be disuaded from setting up Checkpoints to check your T-shirt saying.
I for one say this is Unacceptable

P.S. I don't know if they have released a list of Arrestable and Unarrestable T-shirts yet. So wear you TIMO T-shirts with caution should you ever visit the Crossroads Mall in upstate NY.
