I know many members probably access TechIMO through a direct bookmark to the main forum page, so I would like to direct everyone's attention to the recent front-page updates. While Scott is working towards a new format, an interim homepage format has been adopted for improved news visibility.
So what can we expect from the updated news policy?
I am sure a quite a few members have already noticed that the front-page is now regularly updated on a daily basis with tons of informative links and comments. I recommend everyone check it out, and be sure to check back often for all the latest in hardware and computing news.

We are offering an open invitation for everyone here at TechIMO to contribute to our ever evolving news system. TechIMO is "Tech in My Opinion", and as such, we are interested in everyone's opinion about current topics and events from all aspects of the computing world. TechIMO is dedicated to being the best enthusiast site ever, and I believe we have the most friendly and helpful membership base of any site out there, thus this represents a fantastic opportunity for everyone to get involved with the daily operations here at TechIMO.
What type of news is acceptable?
Well, basically anything computer or technology related. Hardware related submissions will likely receive top priority, but those interested in security, web development, gaming, and the entire tech business in general are welcome to submit news for publication. Occasionally the administrators here at TechIMO might have to edit a submission for grammer or spelling, but we will strive to maintain the authenticity of the original submission at all costs.
What type of news is unacceptable?
Those familiar with the forums rules should have no problems. The rules etiquette and conduct described within the forum FAQ should be used as a genreal purpose guideline for all news submissions. Additionally, concerns related to old news or topic validity may result in certain submissions being disqualified for publication, though these concerns will be handled on a "per submission" basis. Please remember to phrase the submissions in your own words, as simple cut-and-paste news from source sites will be rejected on the basis of plagiarism.
